It's reasonable to be cautious before uploading something important to a third-party service. Here's what you should know about how CoPaste handles your files.

Private vs. public files

Registered users can mark a file as private — meaning it won't show up in any public preview and can only be accessed via a direct code/link. That's different from just "anyone with the link can access" with no additional control.

Automatic expiry

Uploaded files have a set lifespan, which you can extend depending on your plan's limits. That means files won't pile up on the server indefinitely without your knowledge — and if you only needed a one-time send, the file disappears on its own once it expires.

Device management

Your account is linked to the devices you log in from — you can view the list of active devices and revoke access for any you don't recognize, right from the Subscription page.

You stay in control

You can delete a file at any time from the File Manager before it expires, rename it, or extend its active period — no need to contact anyone.
